I have never learned so much about myself, others, and the world at large in a single year. In the last school semester I got a black lab puppy at five weeks, went to north carolina for the first time, had my bike robbed from my home, got two pay raises, had my power turned off by the utilities company, made amazing best friends with the unlikeliest people (a dealer of mine, a couple of punks, a frat bro, a mother of two and a girl who just graduated from high school), tripped on acid, restored an old house to make it a home and I’ve learned what it is to love, not just things but real people and myself. I lived this year, a step up from just existing, and it feels just fine.
I can only imagine what 2011 has in store.
